We have a big race for Senate this year in CT, Congressman Chris Murphy versus fake wrestling tycoon Linda McMahon. Most of the mud slinging has been coming from Linda, not shockingly. She has tried to distance herself from the WWF but uses it as her 'experience'. All her commercials say she (yeah, she...nothing about Vince and his family that actually started the WWF) built a billion dollar company here in CT and she's not a career politician like Murphy and blah, blah, blah.
She is an idiot, and just the kind of person we don't need in Senate. It really is getting to the point where I don't trust any Republican politician to not go Teabagger once they get into office. Look at Romney.
Years ago when he was Governor of Mass he wasn't some ultra conservative asswipe like he is now. That's why he can't remember where he stands on anything, because he has had to change his thoughts to appeal to the Baggers.
Anyway, in polls Murphy and McMahon are in a dead heat. This will go down to the wire. Linda has stepped down as CEO of fake wrestling and had all YouTube vids of her fake fighting taken off the internet. She made billions promoting violence and the degradation of women and now she wants to represent our state in the Senate? How would the Repubs react if a Dem did that? They'd be beside themselves with how morally corrupt she is, promoting half naked women fighting while Jerry Lawler yells "puppies! Show those puppies!" Personally, I don't care what business she does, I'd support Larry Flynn running for Pres if I liked his views. But Linda has classic millionaire mind, her first everyone else last. That's how she and Vince treat their employees and she would be the same in Senate. Screw the middle class workers and the Union, what can I do for me?

Red- I thought you didn't do politics? LOLOLOLOL
ReplyDeleteI haven't followed the race you speak of, but I do know who McMahon is. Didn't wrestling attempt to clean up it's act years ago when she was first contemplated life as a Government servant?
We in Illinois have a Congressional race which is appalling. A Tea Party incumbent who accuses his rival of using her service for political gain. It's so ridiculous.
Me? Not political? I haven't had much in a while but my page was originally mostly political. I started on Blogstream as "Life of Bryan " then when the site shut down I changed my name and started fresh. I still go off on political rants or if something in the news hits a nerve just not as often.
DeleteRed M, she was far ahead a couple months back, seems that the locals are catching on, I hope she doesn't win. It really hurts the nation when tawdry businesspeople not only make millions off us, but then get to set in positions of power, she's been paying crooked referees for years to look the other way when the bully's on top, if she gets in expect a new level of blind referees to emerge in various government agencies.
ReplyDeleteConnecticut is mostly Democrat, hell, we had Dodd and Lieberman forever. Blumenthal (took Lieberman's spot) hasn't done much to make a name for himself yet but I'm hoping to have Murphy join him
DeleteLinda McMahon pulled that negative stuff against Blumenthal in the last senate election and it didn't work. Her ads then were just nasty. Then, earlier in this campaign, she geared herself in a more pleasant light. She quickly reverted back to being a bitch though.
ReplyDeleteMy question has always been her motives, she has spent millions (which she has many of) both this year and 2008. I have to ask why she wants the seat so badly? Perhaps ego?
If she were to get into the Senate she would go with the caucus because someone like her would wield no influence or even get a standing in the Senate with the others.

There's a debate tonight Red

Friendly reminder brother. FOOTBALL tonight.
ReplyDeleteMinnesota's running game is heating up, while Tampa's run defense is awful. Even with Freeman playing well, I'll take the Vikings. 27-17
